Technically, Beyoncé was just a guest at the 2024 Grammys. She wasn’t there to win or perform. She didn’t even walk the red carpet. Beyoncé has 32 Grammys sitting on a shelf at home already. Really, she was just on hand to watch her rapper husband, Jay Z, accept the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. Though the icon may have sneaked in, she couldn’t help but look like a headlining act anyhow in head-to-toe rhinestone cowgirl mega-glam courtesy of Louis Vuitton’s rodeo-inspired fall 2024 menswear collection.

Ahead of the awards show, comedian and Grammys show host Trevor Noah promised Beyoncé would be attending. I’ll admit I had my doubts after she was notably absent from the red carpet, but footage of Queen Bey dancing and clapping along to Fantasia’s performance confirmed she was in the audience. Jay Z, meanwhile, used his acceptance speech to speak frankly about his love-hate relationship with the Grammys while their teenage daughter Blue Ivy stood on stage.
